Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or during first year
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • strong organizational and time management abilities
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • capability to handle and resolve workplace conflicts effectively
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within first year of employment
  • skilled in managing food service programs to optimize cost and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations

Job Duties

  • create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • uphold food safety and quality standards according to guidelines
  • maintain food storage areas free of hazards
  • ensure meals are served timely and accurately as per menu requirements
  • enforce hygiene and sanitation standards
  • accurately document food safety and temperature records
  • update inventory records weekly
  • monitor maintenance needs of kitchen equipment
  • conduct routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
  • cover for absent staff when necessary
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • promote positive team and client relationships
  • coordinate daily catering schedules
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering events
  • perform cashier duties
  • assist with special projects as assigned
