Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision
  • completion of or willingness to complete sanitation certification
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • dependable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the initial year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • capability to execute basic mathematical computations
  • effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to regulate emotions under pressure
  • skill in efficiently addressing interpersonal conflicts

Job Duties

  • Schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
  • create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production to guarantee safety and excellence
  • make sure food products are kept in a secure and well-arranged setting
  • uphold designated serving times and ensure meals are distributed safely and correctly
  • uphold hygienic division in compliance with health and safety statutes
  • fill out records documenting food safety and temperatures accurately
  • ensure inventory is updated weekly with precision
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • implement routine maintenance inspections and suggest equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and productivity
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • keep the working environment safe and free from hazards
  • cover for missing staff members when required
  • keep in touch with employees regularly
  • participate in gatherings with food service employees
  • encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill responsibilities associated with cashier tasks
  • help with additional tasks from Food Service Director or Manager
