Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a food service supervisory role preferred
  • completion of sanitation course within the designated timeframe
  • demonstrated ability to manage scheduling and production processes
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • ability to maintain inventory and equipment records
  • strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • ability to regulate emotions effectively under pressure
  • skill in resolving interpersonal conflicts

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food safety and quality standards following policies and protocols
  • ensure secure and organized food storage
  • maintain designated serving times and distribute meals according to menu requirements
  • uphold hygienic work divisions in compliance with health and safety statutes
  • accurately fill out food safety records and address any issues
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and productivity
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe working environment free from hazards
  • cover for missing staff members when required
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in employee meetings
  • promote positive team relationships and client communication
  • manage daily catering schedules for events
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • perform cashier duties
  • assist with additional tasks as directed by Food Service Director or Manager
