Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a food service supervisory role preferred
- completion of sanitation course within the designated timeframe
- demonstrated ability to manage scheduling and production processes
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to maintain inventory and equipment records
- strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
- skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
- ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- ability to regulate emotions effectively under pressure
- skill in resolving interpersonal conflicts
Job Duties
- Create and manage employee schedules
- compile production packets
- supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
- uphold food safety and quality standards following policies and protocols
- ensure secure and organized food storage
- maintain designated serving times and distribute meals according to menu requirements
- uphold hygienic work divisions in compliance with health and safety statutes
- accurately fill out food safety records and address any issues
- update inventory weekly with precision
- keep records of equipment maintenance needs
- perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
- monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and productivity
- provide guidance and support to food service staff
- maintain a safe working environment free from hazards
- cover for missing staff members when required
- maintain regular communication with employees
- participate in employee meetings
- promote positive team relationships and client communication
- manage daily catering schedules for events
- work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
- perform cashier duties
- assist with additional tasks as directed by Food Service Director or Manager
