Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary environment preferred
  • ability to work full-time with flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • valid food safety certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to operate food service equipment safely
  • capability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • commitment to upholding health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program for cost optimization and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • effective emotional regulation under pressure
  • ability to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks for efficient functioning
  • uphold food production standards to guarantee safety and quality
  • maintain secure and well-organized food storage areas
  • ensure meals are served safely and on time according to menu requirements
  • maintain hygienic conditions in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • accurately record food safety and temperature logs and address any issues
  • update inventory weekly and keep maintenance records of equipment
  • perform routine equipment inspections and recommend upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
  • provide guidance to food service staff on operational compliance
  • maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment
  • cover for absent staff members as needed
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • promote positive relationships and public relations
  • stay updated on catering schedules to ensure timely event preparation and delivery
  • perform occasional cashier duties
  • assist with additional projects as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
