Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion or willingness to complete sanitation certification
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
  • commitment to upholding food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations
  • strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • ability to regulate emotions under pressure
  • effective interpersonal conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • maintain food production safety and quality according to policies and departmental criteria
  • ensure secure and well-maintained food storage
  • adhere to serving times and menu requirements following Aramark guidelines
  • uphold hygiene standards complying with health and safety regulations
  • accurately record food safety and temperature data and address issues
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • maintain records of equipment maintenance needs
  • conduct routine equipment inspections and recommend upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development, productivity, motivation, and collaboration
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff to ensure compliance with operational guidelines
  • keep the working environment safe and free from hazards
  • cover for absent staff members as needed
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in meetings with food service personnel
  • promote positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules to ensure timely event preparation and delivery
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • perform cashier duties as required
  • assist with additional projects or tasks assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
