Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion of sanitation course prior to or within first year of employment
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage schedules and production processes
  • basic math skills
  • adherence to health and safety regulations
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • experience managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform fundamental mathematical computations
  • strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • ability to regulate emotions effectively under pressure
  • skill in addressing interpersonal conflicts efficiently

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production safety and excellence following established policies and protocols
  • ensure food products are kept in a secure and well-arranged setting free of hazards
  • maintain designated serving times and distribute meals according to menu requirements safely and correctly
  • uphold hygienic standards in compliance with health and safety statutes
  • accurately complete food safety and temperature records and address issues
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep records of department equipment maintenance needs
  • implement routine maintenance inspections and suggest equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and collaboration
  • provide guidance and support to staff for operational adherence
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • cover for missing staff as required
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in staff meetings
  • encourage positive team and client relationships
  • stay updated on catering schedules for timely event preparation and delivery
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill cashier tasks
  • assist with additional projects as needed by Food Service Director or Manager
