Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • capability to manage and motivate a team
  • knowledge of food safety standards and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior or during the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to manage emotions under pressure
  • effective interpersonal conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
  • uphold food production to guarantee safety and quality
  • maintain secure and well-organized food storage
  • ensure meals are distributed safely and according to menu requirements
  • uphold hygienic standards in compliance with health regulations
  • complete accurate food safety and temperature records
  • update inventory weekly
  • maintain equipment and suggest necessary upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • cover for missing staff members as needed
  • maintain communication with employees
  • participate in food service meetings
  • foster positive team and client relationships
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules
  • work evening and weekend catering events as required
  • perform cashier duties
  • assist with additional tasks assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
