Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision
  • ability to work full-time with flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • problem-solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • proficiency in interpreting and executing written and verbal instructions
  • experience in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • basic math skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to manage emotions under pressure
  • conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production safety and quality standards
  • ensure food products are stored securely and safely
  • maintain hygienic standards in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • maintain accurate food safety and temperature records
  • update inventory records weekly
  • monitor and maintain equipment
  • conduct routine maintenance inspections and suggest upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • ensure safe working environment
  • cover for absent staff as needed
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • organize and prepare for catering events
  • work occasional evening and weekend events
  • perform cashier tasks as required
  • assist with additional projects as assigned
