Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications preferred
  • Minimum 4-6 years kitchen experience
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to work early morning shift from 4:30am to 11:30am
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years of professional kitchen experience
  • At least 2-3 years in supervisory or lead cook role
  • Proven ability to supervise, train, and direct kitchen staff
  • Hands-on experience running a station and expediting in high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of labor management, prep planning, and production scheduling
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience with coaching performance and handling minor disciplinary actions
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina for kitchen demands including standing long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Produce consistent, quality menu items that meet guest expectations
  • Supervise and direct hourly cooks during service and prep periods
  • Assist in training kitchen staff and providing leadership in absence of the Sous Chef
  • Enforce recipes, plating standards, and portion control to maintain quality
  • Monitor payroll costs and overtime in collaboration with management
  • Perform kitchen opening and closing duties including line checks and sanitation verification
  • Manage food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure compliance and safety
