Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a culinary environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Knowledge of state and local health and safety regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen supervision or culinary management
- Strong understanding of food quality control, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
- Familiarity with food cost management and inventory control
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with FOH managers and staff
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares and directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for the daily preparation of all food items
- Checks mise en place before service time and inspects presentation of food items to ensure that quality standards are met
- Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of food
- Coordinates food service involving communication between kitchen and service staff
- Attends all shift meetings
- Personally works in any station as assigned by the Executive Chef
- Finds creative ways to utilize food scraps, items from freezer and main kitchen
- Supervises kitchen personnel to assure highest productivity and professional conduct
- Maintains highest level of sanitation standards at all times and adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
- Ensures that all work areas are safe and secure
- reports any unsafe conditions to supervisor
