Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of culinary experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary education and/or relevant on-the-job training preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of culinary experience
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to perform basic cooking skills proficiently
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for culinary arts
  • Commitment to high levels of customer service
  • Team player with a positive and energetic personality

Job Duties

  • Produce consistent and quality food products that meet guests' expectations
  • Supervise hourly cooks and kitchen staff
  • Assist in department training and development
  • Assume department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef
  • Monitor payroll costs and overtime
  • Uphold Hyatt's core values of empathy, integrity, respect, inclusion, experimentation, and wellbeing
  • Ensure timely meal production and quality control
