Job Requirements

  • Two to three years of experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • Experience in managing people and solving problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work hands-on with staff and operations
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in a related culinary position
  • Possess two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experience in management of people and problem-solving
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
  • Ability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of food for designated units
  • Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained and manage deliveries and storage
  • Enforce proper handling of food products and kitchen equipment to maintain food safety and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, and counsel staff
  • Resolve workplace issues and provide open communication
  • Recommend disciplinary actions when necessary
