- NVQ Level 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent
- basic food hygiene certification
- 1-2 years of professional kitchen or catering experience

Job Duties
- assume complete responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
- support the Head Chef in efficient kitchen management
- ensure daily compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- assist in menu planning and innovation
- maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- manage food orders using approved suppliers to optimize costs
- verify and sign off on food deliveries ensuring quality produce
- enforce adherence to food hygiene laws and regulations
- implement and maintain HACCP procedures and records
- assist with stock-taking and inventory management
- evaluate training needs of kitchen staff
- participate in cleaning and hygiene duties
- review kitchen hazard lists weekly
- maintain good communication and relationships with clients, customers, and staff
- enforce company dress code among staff
- perform other reasonable tasks to support kitchen operations
