Job Requirements

Be between the ages of 17-40
be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
possess a high school diploma or GED
submit to background and medical screening
receive a passing score on the ASVAB
complete 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training
complete 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training

Job Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma or GED
demonstrate interest in cooking, home economics, health, mathematics, accounting, and chemistry
ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
complete 10 weeks of basic combat training
complete 8 weeks of advanced individual training
pass ASVAB test
have good physical fitness and discipline
strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and sauté as prescribed by Army recipes
operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment
perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment
prepare and service meals in both field and home station environments
order and inspect food supplies
maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards
collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure quality meal preparation
