Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory kitchen role
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and HACCP compliance
  • Ability to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen supervision
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement new menu items
  • Experience with inventory management and requisition processes
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise, coordinate and participate in food preparation and cooking activities
  • Lead and train kitchen staff in production, preparation and garnishing techniques
  • Enforce food quality and safety standards in compliance with HACCP and applicable food codes
  • Manage requisition of food and food related products
  • Develop new menu items in partnership with other departments
  • Oversee sanitation plan and create policies and procedures to ensure food safety
  • Act as frontline supervisor to support operations and manage labor distribution efficiently
