Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Culinary Arts preferred or associate degree with equivalent of five years’ work experience as an Executive Chef
  • minimum five years’ experience as an Executive Chef within the hospitality industry
  • current ServSafe Certification

Job Duties

  • Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with back and front of the house operations as needed
  • plan, prepare, and execute special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • produce innovative menus and recipes within food and labor budget constraints
  • manage monthly and annual Food & Beverage budgets and document expenses
  • review and adjust menus based on seasonality, supply chain, and cost changes
  • maintain purchasing standards and vendor relationships
  • accurately report monthly inventory of food and beverage supplies
  • interview, hire, train, and supervise culinary and food and beverage staff
  • ensure compliance with health and safety standards and personal hygiene
  • manage food preparation to minimize overproduction and waste
  • maintain accurate daily records and provide ongoing kitchen staff training
  • coordinate with front of house and back of house staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • collaborate with marketing and activities for resident special events
  • regularly meet residents and families to maintain high satisfaction levels
  • advise management of any resident concerns
  • oversee preventive maintenance programs for kitchen equipment
