Job Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience as a chef and culinary manager
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and production
  • Experience in cruise ship, country club, or batch cooking environments is a plus
  • Understanding of local health department, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of management finance
  • Proficiency with computer software including Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Operate a fun and professional culinary department reflecting excellence and creativity
  • Provide visible and proactive leadership to maintain highest standards of customer satisfaction in food service
  • Collaborate with other departments to offer specialty food services for events
  • Execute menu cycles compliant with local dietary regulations
  • Ensure food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • Assist Marketing Director in showcasing culinary services to prospective residents and vendors
  • Provide regular reports to General Manager on staffing, budget, and vendor relations
  • Foster a cohesive team environment that builds confidence, morale, and staff retention
