Job Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Valid Serv-Safe Manager Certification
  • Compliance with California SB 848 background checks
  • Ability to undergo mandated reporter training annually
  • Physical capability to handle kitchen duties
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to food safety and nutrition standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience of 10 plus years in upscale dining or high-end institutional settings
  • Current Serv-Safe Manager Certification
  • Knowledge of allergen management
  • Ability to prepare gourmet meals with fine-dining presentation
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Understanding of dietary restrictions including gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free options

Job Duties

  • Lead the preparation of high-end seasonal meals with a focus on fresh ingredients and fine-dining presentation
  • Rigorously execute menus for students with complex dietary needs including gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free options with 100 percent accuracy
  • Collaborate with the Chef to develop innovative menus that reflect the community's standards
  • Ensure allergen management and strict adherence to dietary restrictions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
  • Participate in annual mandated reporter and professional boundary training
