Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in culinary management or related field
  • Completion of 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent
  • Ability to lead and manage a culinary team
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to manage kitchen operations and equipment effectively
  • Willingness to adhere to budgetary constraints and corporate policies

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary field
  • Completion of 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent skills
  • Culinary degree preferred but not mandatory
  • High-level expertise in food service operational principles and techniques
  • Proficient in managing personnel and resolving challenges in a dynamic kitchen environment
  • Strong oral, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen employees, supervising and coordinating all culinary activities effectively
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Determine the expected food consumption to accurately requisition or procure the necessary food items
  • Develop and standardize culinary procedures, establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Maintain proper functioning and upkeep of kitchen equipment
  • Ensure adherence to sanitation regulations to maintain a safe cooking environment
  • Lead catering functions and provide culinary lessons or presentations
  • Guide and train less experienced culinary employees by sharing techniques and culinary expertise
