Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of culinary or foodservice procurement experience
  • Strong culinary expertise to assess product quality and specifications
  • Demonstrated vendor relationship management skills
  • Ability to perform position duties effectively
  • Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
  • Capability to operate mobile devices and computers extensively
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness and means to travel locally between Exact Sciences locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Three years of experience in culinary and/or foodservice procurement
  • Strong culinary foundation with ability to evaluate product specifications and quality
  • Proven success managing multiple vendor relationships
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Experience in corporate dining, hospitality, or multi-unit foodservice preferred
  • Knowledge of local and regional sourcing preferred
  • Experience working with international suppliers preferred
  • Proficiency in procurement systems such as Coupa and Parsley, with Agilysys experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily purchasing of food and paper goods across multiple vendors with focus on local and sustainable sourcing
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory materials ensuring product specifications and timely delivery
  • Handle missed orders, refunds, and vendor-related issues proactively
  • Utilize procurement and recipe management software to oversee ordering, inventory tracking, and recipe costing
  • Evaluate product quality and availability aligning with menu design and corporate standards
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships including onboarding back-up suppliers and supporting contract negotiations
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and address supply chain challenges
  • Participate in procurement projects and process improvements including developing standardized procedures and KPI tracking
  • Collaborate with culinary and operations leadership to align purchasing strategies with menu planning and budget goals
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, procurement policies, and ethical sourcing practices
  • Provide regular reports to leadership on spend, vendor performance, and efficiencies
  • Oversee risk assessment and supplier onboarding prior to contract finalization
  • Communicate effectively with business teams to support operational needs and resolve issues
  • Work collaboratively with culinary leadership to maintain a cohesive production process
  • Uphold company mission through accountability, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
  • Support compliance with Quality Management System policies
  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen managing large budgets and achieving cost controls
  • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
