Job Requirements
- Ability to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures
- English reading, writing, comprehension, math, and computer skills
- Ability to taste and evaluate food products
- Ability to reach, lift, stoop, bend and stand or walk extensively including stairs
- Ability to multi-task under time limits and pressure
- Frequent use of interpersonal skills
- Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts
- Must communicate clearly by phone, radio, email, and in-person
- Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, occasionally 100 pounds
- Frequent movement in and out of refrigerators and freezers

- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of culinary baking experience
- Previous experience in high volume, complex food service operations
- Knowledge of baking, pastry, and chocolate work focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Ability to complete projects reliably and expediently within deadlines
- Computer proficiency including MS Office
- Experience with computerized workforce and inventory management software preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication with management, guests, and team
- Superior customer service experience
Job Duties
- Partner with Food and Beverage leadership team to ensure successful arena F&B operation
- Assist with establishment and enforcement of arena policies
- Work closely with other team members and departments for effective communication and operational performance
- Support concept development and operating plan for dessert options
- Drive development of unique dessert menus and specials
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and mentorship of bakery team
- Ensure bakery team has necessary tools to complete their jobs
- Ensure consistent recipe execution and accountability
- Operate and manage the pastry section in cooperation with other chefs
- Decorate and present pastries attractively
- Monitor and order ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Meet with customers to discuss custom-made desserts
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Conduct daily bakery walkthroughs
- Monitor and assess baked goods inventory and par levels
- Oversee inventory management
- Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and production
- Enforce safe service of alcoholic beverages policies
- Engage with guests and team members to ensure hospitality
- Build and maintain relationships with venue staff, guests, and subcontractors
- Enforce safety, security, and sanitation standards
- Obtain guest feedback to improve operations
- Use selected systems for purchasing, workforce management, and more
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership team
