Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Prior restaurant service and guest relations experience preferred
- Servsafe certification
- Culinary certification
- Ability to exert physical effort to transport up to 50 pounds
- Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Ability to reach 7 feet
- Maintain stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout work shift
- Ability to work indoors in air conditioned and non-air conditioned environments
- Willingness to work in environments with variable temperature and noise levels
- Ability to maintain positive coworker relations
- Comprehension and adherence to health and safety standards

Job Duties
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Ensure correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Maintain positive coworker relations
- Respond accurately to guest inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
- Help resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas
- Strictly abide by state sanitation and health regulations and hotel requirements
- Meet with Sous Chef to review assignments, business levels, and job performance information
- Complete opening duties including setup, inspection, and preparation of workstation
- Start prep work and inform Sous Chef or Chef of shortages or excess items
- Assist operations to ensure optimum guest service
- Maintain proper storage procedures
- Minimize waste and control food cost
- Disinfect and sanitize worktables before use
- Assist supervisor in cooking and presentation during service
- Transport dirty pots and pans to wash station
- Direct and assist stewards for efficient cleanup
- Complete closing duties including storage, rotation, labeling, cleaning, restocking, and temperature verification
- Review work status and follow-up actions with Commis 3, Sous Chef, or Chef
- Write mise en place listings for next and upcoming days
- Respect safety and health standards at all times
- Perform other assigned duties as required
