Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in baking or pastry preparation
  • proficiency with measuring and mixing baking ingredients
  • capability to follow recipes and adjust ingredients as needed
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • physical ability to handle baking equipment and stand for extended periods
  • willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pastry cook role or similar position
  • knowledge of laminated doughs breads and pastry techniques
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail and quality
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries breads and laminated doughs including croissants Danish and puff pastry
  • measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
