Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or relevant hotel experience preferred
  • Possess valid food handler's card
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Prior experience as a baker or pastry cook in a professional kitchen
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality focus

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
