Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of pastry cook experience
- ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- physical stamina to stand and perform kitchen duties for extended periods
- strong attention to detail and quality
- ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
- excellent teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
- 2-3 years of pastry experience in intermediate and advanced baking and culinary skills
- strong communication and teamwork abilities
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- knowledge of health and safety regulations in culinary environments
- passion for continuous learning and professional growth in pastry arts
Job Duties
- produce a wide range of intermediate and advanced pastry products consistently to meet quality standards
- ensure efficient and safe operation within a high-volume kitchen environment
- communicate effectively with culinary team members and management
- adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards
- assist in training and mentoring less experienced pastry cooks
- adapt to changing operational requirements and work across different pastry stations within the hotel
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
