Job Requirements

  • Valid local Food Handler's Card
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Capable of working flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Resourceful and able to work independently and as a team
  • Understanding of proper temperatures and food storage
  • Passion for pastry and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of pastry experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • Basic decorating and finishing skills
  • Knowledge of pastry terminology and accurate scaling
  • Ability to follow recipes and communicate clearly
  • Strong multitasking abilities
  • Willingness to learn and grow in pastry operations

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts to Hyatt standards
  • Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the pastry kitchen
  • Manage inventory and storage of ingredients properly
  • Decorate and finish pastries with basic skills
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
