Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen supervisory experience preferred
  • ability to work in fast-paced kitchen environments standing or walking for long periods
  • capability to work multiple kitchen stations
  • ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight
  • proficiency in computer skills
  • basic cost control knowledge
  • ability to make prompt and resourceful decisions

Job Qualifications

  • four years of experience in banquet and restaurant kitchens preferred
  • culinary leadership experience preferred
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • experience in high-volume kitchens including fine dining and from scratch cooking
  • ability to perform basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills
  • strong communication skills
  • open schedule flexibility including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • understanding of food safety standards
  • possession of a Food Handler's Card

Job Duties

  • supervise banquet and restaurant kitchen operations
  • produce consistent and quality culinary products
  • manage and oversee hourly cooks
  • train department staff and assume sous chef responsibilities when needed
  • monitor payroll costs and control overtime
  • coordinate ordering and requisitions with purchasing team
  • make timely and thoughtful decisions in the kitchen environment
