Job Requirements
- culinary education or related hotel experience
- valid food handler’s card
- ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- experience in kitchen operations
- basic cost control knowledge
- basic communication skills
- leadership abilities
- computer literacy
Job Qualifications
- good communication skills
- 4 years of previous line experience preferred
- culinary leadership experience preferred
- understanding and experience in culinary preferred
- culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
- able to perform all basic, intermediate, and advanced cooking skills
- able to work multiple stations in the kitchen
- must be available to work a flexible schedule including swing shifts
- must be able to work weekends and holidays
- must have valid food handler's card
Job Duties
- supervise hourly cooks
- produce consistent, quality culinary products
- support kitchen operations within the hotel
- assume department responsibilities in absence of sous chef
- assist in monitoring payroll costs and overtime
- provide department training
- ensure food quality and safety
