Job Requirements

  • Culinary education is preferred
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant experience
  • At least one year of management experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
  • Strong understanding of food costs and sales metrics
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including knives, mixers, ovens, and more

Job Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining vendor relationships for timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness
  • Skills to understand budgets and analyze sales data for cost control
  • Ability to assist the General Manager with cash handling and deposit procedures

Job Duties

  • Conduct daily line checks with the management team to ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards
  • Monitor incoming products and communicate any quality issues to management
  • Handle the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff
  • Create weekly work schedules aligned with business forecasts and budget constraints
  • Manage food costs through effective purchasing, storage, and recipe standardization
  • Ensure compliance with all health department standards for food safety and handling
  • Analyze weekly food costs using inventory tracking reports to optimize operational efficiency
  • Prepare food according to established standards and customer specifications
  • Oversee safe operation of kitchen equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Maintain effective food storage and inventory to meet par levels
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking activities
  • Order necessary food supplies and kitchen equipment as required
  • Delegate daily work assignments to kitchen staff in each area
  • Train and mentor kitchen employees on food preparation methods and safety practices
