Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary management role
  • Food handler’s certification or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to uphold food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in culinary operations or kitchen management
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking methods, portion control, and cost management
  • Experience with inventory management and procurement
  • Familiarity with menu development and recipe standardization
  • Effective communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Uphold and embody the mission of Goodfellas Pizzeria, ensuring the best slice and cocktail experience while focusing on the core values of respect
  • Maintain comprehensive cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, equipment, and food storage areas
  • Monitor sanitation practices to guarantee compliance with health standards and regulations
  • Evaluate the quality of both raw and cooked food products to meet established standards
  • Oversee proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
  • Estimate necessary supplies, including food and ingredients, and manage procurement
  • Control food costs by adhering to proper inventory requisitioning, product storage procedures, standardized recipes, and waste management
