Job Requirements
- Culinary education is preferred
- minimum of two years of restaurant experience is required
- at least one year of management experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- strong understanding of food costs and sales metrics
- familiarity with kitchen equipment including knives, mixers, and ovens
- excellent communication skills
- organized and detail-oriented
- ability to engage with guests and build rapport
- commitment to delivering exceptional service
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations including ServSafe standards
- ability to ensure physical safety of team members and compliance with security policies
- ability to maintain relationships with vendors for timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness
- understanding of budgets and sales data for cost control
- ability to assist with cash handling and deposit procedures
- physical ability to stand and walk 100% of the time
- ability to communicate extensively with the team
- capability to work at stove or table 75% of the time
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties
- Conduct daily line checks with the management team to ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
- monitor incoming products and communicate any quality issues to management
- handle recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff
- create weekly work schedules aligned with business forecasts and budget constraints
- manage food costs through effective purchasing, storage, and recipe standardization
- ensure compliance with all health department standards for food safety and handling
- analyze weekly food costs using inventory tracking reports to optimize operational efficiency
