Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent management experience
- Four plus years of culinary experience in a management role
- Previous experience in high volume special events culinary operations strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
- Strong multitasking, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to maintain client and customer rapport
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Availability for event-based hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent four plus years of culinary management experience
- Previous experience in high volume special events culinary operations preferred
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer relationships
- Strong multitasking, organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Availability to work event-based hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Ensure culinary production aligns with the Executional Framework
- Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques for food preparation, production, presentation, and service
- Manage culinary team including chef managers and hourly staff to ensure food quality
- Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees in best food production practices
- Coach employees to achieve and understand performance goals
- Reward and recognize employees
- Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles
- Maintain all staff records including training, checklists, and performance data
- Develop and maintain effective client and guest relationships
- Interact directly with guests regularly
- Communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends
- Deliver food and labor targets
- Focus on margin improvement through performance metrics and inventory management
- Ensure efficient execution of culinary products in line with daily menu
- Maintain integrity of Aramark food quality and safety standards
- Comply fully with Operational Excellence fundamentals including waste management and labor standards
- Understand supply chain and procurement ensuring authorized suppliers
- Implement the Food Framework
- Accurately estimate food consumption for requisitions
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance
- Comply with all Aramark SAFE food, quality assurance, occupational and environmental safety policies
- Adhere to applicable safety, health, wage, and hour regulations
