Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience
- Management experience preferred
- Completion of corporate 6-week training program
- Passing score on ServSafe exam or valid ServSafe certification
- Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of previous restaurant experience
- management experience preferred
- Successful completion of corporate’s 6-week training program
- Achieve a passing score on the ServSafe exam or possess a valid ServSafe certification
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Job Duties
- Manage and oversee the kitchen operations working closely with the General Manager to ensure the overall success of the cafe
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
- Ensure all pertinent staff members have current sanitation and safety certification(s)
- Complete food inventories and place food orders effectively and in a timely manner
- Control food cost and usage by following proper and responsible food requisition and storage procedures while maintaining waste control efforts
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and preventative maintenance plans
- Oversee the continuous training of kitchen employees on kitchen equipment, utensils, cleanliness, sanitation practices, proper lifting and carrying techniques, and handling hazardous materials
- Prepare and submit operations reports and other documentation as requested by the General Manager
- Perform other duties and support functions as assigned
