Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of professional culinary experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks
- Ability to follow recipes and presentation guidelines precisely
- Reliable transportation or ability to commute as required
- Up-to-date influenza vaccination, TB test, drug screening, and background check
- COVID-19 vaccination encouraged but not required
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of professional culinary experience, ideally in an upscale hospitality or health care setting
- Deep knowledge of food safety, workplace safety, and sanitation standards
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare and present quality dishes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to uphold ethical standards and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus
- Demonstrated professionalism and polished appearance
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education
Job Duties
- Create artfully prepared dishes using chef-inspired recipes ensuring superior quality, exquisite taste, and elegant presentation
- Maintain impeccable standards for temperature, flavor, and visual appeal in every meal served to residents and guests
- Plate and garnish with precision elevating each dish to a fine-dining experience
- Collaborate on catering and signature events delivering bespoke menus that reflect sophistication and style
- Maintain uncompromising adherence to food safety and workplace safety standards ensuring a pristine, professional kitchen
- Guarantee flawless sanitation of all culinary spaces and equipment in alignment with elevated hospitality standards
- Operate premium kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, slicers, and mixers with precision and care
- Execute meticulous daily and weekly cleaning routines to uphold an immaculate kitchen and storage environment
- Label and date all ingredients with accuracy ensuring proper rotation, minimizing waste, and preserving exceptional quality
- Craft meals with precision to meet individual dietary requirements and allergen considerations delivering both safety and exceptional quality
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity maintaining compliance with the organization's Standards of Ethical Conduct and HIPAA privacy and security protocols
- Act as a vigilant advocate for residents promptly reporting any concerns of mistreatment, abuse, neglect, or exploitation in accordance with Colorado Elder Abuse Law
- Prepare and stage stations with precision ensuring all premium ingredients and tools are ready for seamless service
- Monitor inventory with a discerning eye, communicating needs promptly to maintain uninterrupted, high-quality operations
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries guaranteeing only the finest products meet our standards before storage
- Mentor new culinary team members sharing expertise in elevated food preparation and uncompromising safety practices
- Foster a culture of collaboration and respect creating a positive, professional environment that reflects our commitment to hospitality
- Maintain a refined, professional appearance following uniform guidelines to reflect our upscale hospitality standards
- Demonstrate initiative in ongoing learning participating in continuing education and all required training programs
- Respond promptly and graciously to resident and staff requests or feedback ensuring an exceptional dining experience
- Support the success of the culinary team performing additional duties as needed to uphold our commitment to excellence
