Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous banquet kitchen experience
- strong culinary skills in cold food preparation
- leadership experience or aptitude
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- physical ability to stand for long periods
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- basic computer proficiency
Job Qualifications
- good communication skills
- 4 years of previous banquet experience preferred
- previous leadership experience preferred
- culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred
- able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
- able to work multiple stations in the kitchen
- a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- proficient in basic computer skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- checking inventory and ordering
- quality control of prepared items
- monitoring production and providing direction
- ensuring food safety, sanitation, and health regulations are in compliance
- leading the garde manger kitchen team in the Chef's absence
- preparing high-quality composed salads, canapes, and cold food displays
- maintaining cleanliness and organization of the garde manger station
