Job Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Two years experience cooking in a restaurant, school or large group
  • Food handlers certificate within 90 days of employment
  • ServSafe certificate within first year of employment in applicable counties
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Ability to understand and follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug testing and background checks
  • Ability to meet physical demands of kitchen work

Job Qualifications

  • GED or high school diploma

  • Food service supervisory experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
  • Food handlers certificate required within first 90 days
  • ServSafe certificate required within first year in applicable counties

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks at once

Job Duties

  • Oversee planning, preparing, and serving of meals
  • Supervise food service assistants including paid staff and volunteers
  • Cross-train employees in all kitchen positions
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and Center Lead to create a positive work environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation and inventory
  • Manage kitchen operations to uphold organizational mission and values
