Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Prior restaurant service and guest relations experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification
  • Culinary certification
  • Ability to maintain positive coworker relations
  • Ability to comprehend and follow recipes
  • Ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to endure prolonged standing and physical movement

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Maintain correct maintenance and proper use of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain positive coworker relations
  • Respond accurately to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, features, and local attractions
  • Help resolve guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas
  • Establish and execute mise en place preparation according to schedule
  • Inspect cleanliness and working condition of all tools and equipments
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking during service time
  • Minimize waste and control food costs
  • Transport dirty pots and pans to washing stations and assist in clean-up
  • Perform opening and closing duties including proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items
  • Verify refrigeration temperatures and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Write mise en place listings for upcoming shifts
  • Adhere to safety and health standards at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
