Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of culinary management experience
  • Knowledge of mathematics for budget and forecast interpretation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Commitment to follow sanitation and safety protocols
  • Engaging and welcoming personality

Job Qualifications

  • College degree in culinary arts preferred
  • Extensive experience in high-volume professional kitchens
  • Proven track record in creative menu development
  • Strong knowledge of food allergens and safety regulations
  • TABC and Food Handlers Certification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Attract, retain, and motivate the best culinary talent
  • Act in the absence of the executive chef to complete daily ordering using current par levels
  • Perform any culinary department function such as cook or steward as needed
  • Conduct daily kitchen walkthroughs and make recommendations for corrections or improvements
  • Lead daily team meetings to ensure preparation and communication
  • Attend F&B, BEO, leadership and safety meetings representing the culinary team
  • Manage departmental finances, analyze and control costs to maintain profitability
