Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must be enrolled in a Culinary College or Institution Program
  • must be able to read and communicate in English clearly
  • must have a valid health card or equivalent
  • must be able to lift pots, pans, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently
  • must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
  • ability to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures
  • must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend
  • must exhibit hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • currently enrolled in a Culinary College or Institution Program
  • able to read and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Follow all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Line Cook Training Manual
  • maintain positive attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
  • comply with all sanitation and safety standards to maintain a score of 90% or above on audits
  • meet uniform, appearance and grooming standards
  • maintain guest service standards with less than 1 complaint per 100 customers
  • know all menu items thoroughly and communicate specials and substitutions accurately
  • determine par levels and prepare prep lists with minimal waste
  • communicate orders efficiently and accurately to station cooks
  • prepare and verify menu items meet quality standards
  • sanitize prep areas and maintain cleanliness of knives and equipment
  • communicate order readiness to expediter/server promptly
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels and report to Chef or Sous Chef
  • follow receiving and storage procedures accurately
  • complete meal service for assigned tables within one hour
  • perform side work duties as specified in training manuals
  • collaborate with wait staff to ensure proper side dish allocation
  • accurately receive and store purchase orders
  • follow end-of-shift checkout procedures with full accuracy
  • foster a cooperative team environment by assisting other members as needed
