Job Requirements
- Culinary arts degree required
- 7+ years of culinary experience including 3+ years in QSR and multi-unit service segment
- 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
- Passion for exceptional food and people
- Experience in menu innovation, product R&D, and commercialization
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams
- Strong communication skills and presentation abilities
- Willingness to travel domestically 15-25%
- Work onsite 5 days per week at Chipotle’s Newport Beach and Irvine offices
Job Qualifications
- Culinary arts degree
- Preferably a four-year bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of active culinary experience
- 3+ years experience in QSR and multi-unit service segments
- 2+ years supervisory experience preferred
- Proven track record in innovation, R&D, commercialization
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in menu innovation, product R&D, product benchmarking, core product optimization
- Strong project management and people skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
Job Duties
- Lead culinary team members and projects
- Manage and steward product innovation projects using the Stage Gate Process
- Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure quality and integrity of core menu and innovation ingredients
- Oversee culinary R&D for core menu optimization
- Plan and execute consumer testing and product validation through methods like in-store testing, focus groups, and market pilots
- Collaborate closely with culinary and cross-functional teams to deliver on company growth strategies
- Articulate presentations and conduct tastings to diverse audiences and leadership
