Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree concentration in Culinary Arts or Food Science or Food Technology or closely related scientific discipline
  • 4-year degree concentration in Culinary Arts or Food Science or Food Technology or closely related scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of experience culinary product development and menu strategy
  • Experience preferred in multi-unit restaurant chain
  • Passion for food and culinary mastery including creative menu development, cost management, manufacturing, restaurant operations, and equipment
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills to work with functions and external vendors
  • Ability to take ideas from concept to execution with strong program management
  • Strong organization and presentation skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and multi-task under tight timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Job Qualifications

  • Degree concentration in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Food Technology, or related scientific discipline
  • More than 5 years of experience in culinary product development and menu strategy
  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant chains preferred
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to work across functions and with vendors
  • Strategic and program development capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle ambiguity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Job Duties

  • Drive culinary innovation and product development including core menu and limited-time offer innovation
  • Partner with Category Management team through concept ideation, product development, in-market testing, and commercialization
  • Translate culinary briefs into product innovation that attracts new guests and enhances guest satisfaction
  • Conduct consumer and guest research to understand needs and optimize products
  • Collaborate with vendor partners from concept to prototype and commercialization
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and competitive innovations
  • Participate and cook in key culinary events to inspire and engage stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, QA, and Supply Chain for strategy alignment and execution
  • Manage new product launch readiness including specifications, yield, QA, regulatory and legal approvals
  • Develop training materials and refine restaurant processes with Operations
  • Select equipment and optimize packaging to improve guest experience and reduce costs
  • Manage supplier relationships, sourcing strategy, and cost negotiations
