Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or related supervisory role preferred
- ability to work full-time including nights and weekends as needed
- willingness to complete sanitation certification if not already certified
- basic math skills
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to perform job duties including standing for long periods

- Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
- must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year
- knowledge of operating an efficient cost-effective program

Job Duties
- Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
- direct daily activities
- maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies and department requirements
- ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
- maintain all serving schedules and ensure food items are served per menu specifications safely
- maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
- maintain accurate inventory weekly
- prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
- supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
- maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
- train and mentor other food service workers
- maintain equipment maintenance logs
- complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective action
- perform preventative maintenance checklist
- recommend equipment replacement
- proficiency in multitasking
- perform other duties as requested by Food Service Director or Manager
- fill in for absent employees
- maintain knowledge of daily catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
- work occasional night and weekend catered events
- attend food service meetings with staff
- maintain staff communication including office staff, email, phone, and inter-office mail
- perform cashier duties as needed
- promote good public relations
