Job Requirements

  • Minimum commitment of one full semester
  • Availability to work 10-20 hours per week over at least two days
  • Flexibility to accommodate class schedules and on-campus commitments
  • Must be currently enrolled in a relevant academic program
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to uphold safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Current university student pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Professional Cooking, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident with a friendly personality
  • Demonstrated team player

Job Duties

  • Assist in preparing menus and food selections to meet client, customer, and guest needs
  • Develop and maintain cooperative and congenial relationships with staff in other departments
  • Proactively address customer and client needs and identify improvements
  • Model the Smile Plus hospitality imperatives
  • Assist team with ordering and receiving food and supplies and inspect deliveries
  • Maintain Parkhurst Gold Standards, On the Go standards, and other company standards
  • Ensure high quality, good tasting, and well-presented foods are served
  • Assist in production sheets, recipes, order books, temperature logs, financial reporting, and other reports
  • Assist in menu development to meet customer preferences, seasonal variances, and cost objectives
  • Assist leaders with Quality Assurance records and logs
  • Follow all safety and sanitation standards
