Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience preferred
- Valid Food Handler’s certification required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weight
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods with frequent bending and twisting
- Must be able to use culinary tools such as knives and commercial equipment and possess taste and smell capabilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrollment or recent completion of a Culinary Degree Program preferred
- Minimum 1 year of culinary experience preferred
- Familiarity with weights and measures for recipe execution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Valid Food Handler’s certification required
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items efficiently and accurately as directed with minimal supervision
- Inspect all food products for quality and freshness
- Follow proper storage procedures when handling food from and to the walk-in
- Safely and correctly operate all culinary equipment
- Demonstrate solid understanding of cooking techniques and skills
- Maintain walk-in, prep areas, and equipment to meet Health Department and EcoSure standards
- Attend departmental meetings and required company trainings
