Job Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited culinary collegiate institution
- Eligible for academic credit for externship
- Ability to work 32-40 hours per week for 12 to 14 weeks
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Compliance with health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Working towards a culinary degree from an accredited culinary school
- Demonstrated passion for culinary arts and food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques and standards
Job Duties
- Prepare all menu items by following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Receive and properly store and label food deliveries to prevent spoilage
- Set up stations by completing mise en place and pars
- Assist with inventory and ordering
- Maintain knowledge of proper storage, rotation, and maintenance of products
- Execute duties according to DMC, ServSafe, and health department standards
- Perform other duties assigned by management
