Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 6 years experience in culinary leadership
  • proven background in high-volume banquet or event catering
  • strong culinary skills with fine dining expertise
  • ability to manage and lead a kitchen team effectively
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events
  • flexibility to work varied hours including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in high-end banquet or event catering
  • at least 6 years in a culinary leadership role
  • strong culinary skills with refined understanding of contemporary cuisine and banquet operations
  • ability to work under pressure during large events
  • exceptional leadership and team-building skills
  • passion for creativity and innovation in dining experiences
  • solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • formal culinary degree preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Design innovative and high-quality menus tailored to clients needs
  • create seasonal menus showcasing the finest ingredients and culinary techniques
  • oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation of banquet dishes
  • ensure food quality and plating meet high standards
  • manage banquet kitchen operations including staff scheduling and inventory
  • lead and motivate culinary team providing guidance and training
  • collaborate with event planners and catering managers for seamless event execution
  • maintain quality control through regular tastings and inspections
  • monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure profitability
  • establish and maintain vendor relationships for sourcing quality ingredients
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
