Job Requirements

  • AA degree in culinary or related field
  • Certified Executive Chef preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years culinary and management experience including large account openings
  • Strong experience in project management
  • In depth knowledge of culinary practices including recipe and menu development
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Professional presentation skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft and web-based applications
  • Understanding of key business elements in contract food service industry such as education, healthcare, and business & industry
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of work hours

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of work hours

Job Duties

  • Engage with segments in strategic planning dialogue to identify and agree on a joint work program
  • Develop content, methodologies and supporting tools for initiative deployment based on account contract and requirements
  • Partner with culinary development team to create customized menus, training materials and recipes
  • Research customer needs and apply menu products and services effectively
  • Develop and guide new product and menu options to ensure sustained profit growth and meet budget plans
  • Troubleshoot culinary issues related to menus, products, programs and training
  • Champion use of AVI management systems and corporate programs including culinary training, labor tools, production system, procurement initiatives and HAACP
  • Mentor new and existing business to ensure consistent execution of culinary programs
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and define opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, food quality and reduce cost
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with regional leaders and culinary peers
