Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • current state SafeServ certification
  • 2-3 years of culinary program or kitchen coordination experience
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • professionalism and courtesy
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • current state SafeServ certification required
  • 2-3 years of culinary program or kitchen coordination experience
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • professional, courteous, and able to work well with diverse teams
  • flexibility to work evenings and mandatory Saturdays and Sundays
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical kitchen duties

Job Duties

  • assist with food preparation and cooking for church and community events
  • support ordering, inventory, and restocking of kitchen and pantry supplies
  • ensure kitchen and storage areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with health codes
  • maintain proper food storage and safe handling procedures (SafeServ certified)
  • help coordinate table settings, décor, and dining service for special events
  • provide hands-on support for both on-campus and offsite church functions
  • be flexible and responsive to unplanned events requiring kitchen support
