Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative experience in a Food & Beverage environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Experience with payroll processes preferred
- Familiarity with Birchstreet platform advantageous
- Knowledge of culinary operations and standards preferred
Job Qualifications
- Team player with strong initiative, a calm demeanor, and professional approach
- Previous work experience with computers and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with administrative experience
- Strong business communication skills including drafting faxes and letters
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and meet deadlines
- Operational experience with Birchstreet is an asset
- Previous payroll administration experience preferred
- Background in Food & Beverage environment and understanding of large kitchen operations is an asset
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management is an asset
Job Duties
- Manage emails, tasks, and calendars for the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage
- Print, update, and post information for the chef's communication board daily, weekly, and monthly
- Complete and ensure accuracy of time and attendance records for the culinary division to meet payroll timelines
- Enter appropriate information into the food costing tracker sheet daily for accurate food cost tracking
- Join engineering and stewarding walk with Chef and team, record items for action, and update punch lists
- Send updated punch lists to engineering and stewarding departments by end of the following day and save weekly copies
- Collect and file Eco sure temperature records from all kitchens weekly
- Assist with Birchstreet recipe catalogue by entering recipes and linking ingredients with accurate pricing
- Proactively complete culinary projects within assigned timeframes
- Coordinate completion of employee performance reviews
- Assist with recruitment and departure procedures
- Create PowerPoint presentations for departmental meetings and schedule meetings
- Contribute to daily operational growth through awareness of LQA, EES, Forbes, Ecosure, and Fairmont standards
- Collaborate on promotions, menus, and special events with Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director, and Outlet Chef
- Undertake other Food & Beverage projects as assigned
