Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of previous culinary experience preferred
  • ability to adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties safely

Job Qualifications

  • ability to follow standardized recipes and food production procedures
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares high quality meals according to standardized recipes and techniques
  • uses and directs the use of accurate portion control standards
  • ensures that sanitary conditions are maintained in the kitchen at all times
  • checks all menus daily in order to verify that all necessary items are prepared as needed
  • stores leftovers properly according to food handling standards
  • operates equipment in a correct, safe, sanitary and respectful manner
  • supervises the entire dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction of meal service
